The Fisheries

Fishing at Pirá Lodge

Clear water. Sight casting. Technical presentations.

Located inside the 3-million-acre Iberá Wetlands Reserve, Pirá offers one of the most unique Dorado programs in the world.

  • Fish from Hell’s Bay flats skiffs with push-pole guides

  • Sight cast to cruising fish in clear marsh systems

  • Wade fish sandbars when conditions allow

  • Swing flies on the Corrientes River

  • Average fish: 5–15 lbs

  • 15–25 lb Dorado landed each season

This is technical, visual fishing in an untouched ecological preserve filled with wildlife and shifting floating grass islands.

Fishing at Karandá Lodge

Located in Bella Vista along the Middle Paraná River, Karandá Lodge targets a diverse and structure-rich system known for size and consistency.

  • Fish from 22’ custom Carolina skiffs

  • Two anglers can fish simultaneously

  • Drift structure: submerged timber, cut banks, sandbars, side channels

  • Sight fishing opportunities on sandbanks

  • September–December peak season

  • Double-digit Dorado possible all season

    Travel Logistics

    Typical routing:

    1. Fly into Buenos Aires (EZE)

    2. 1-hour domestic flight to Corrientes (CNQ) or Resistencia (RES)

    3. Ground transfer to lodge

    4. Mid-week 3-hour transfer between lodges

    5. Return domestic flight to Buenos Aires
